Introduction of Beijing Adhesion Society（BAS）

Beijing Adhesion Society (BAS) was founded at November 20^th, 1982. BAS was one of the earliest societies in Beijing, even in China. It was leaded by Beijing Association for Science and Technology, rely on Beijing Chemical Industry Research Institute, a juridical association that authorized by Beijing government.

The aim of BAS is to strengthen the communication of technology, improve and spread the knowledge of adhesive. Through a variety of academic activities, BAS helps community and academia to progress; contributes to the modernization of China; trains technologist; and makes efforts to the adhesive technology.

The council members are made of universities, institutes and some companies. Universities include Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology Beijing University of Technology, Beihang University and some other university; Institutes include Beijing Chemical Industry Research Institute, Institute of Chemistry the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Leather and Footwear Industry Research Institute and some other institute in Beijing, Companies include Beijing Organic Chemical Plant, Eastern Chemical Works, Beijing TONSAN Adhesives Inc. Beijing Longyuan Chemical & Electrical Technology Company and some other adhesive companies. The amount of members is near to 400. Some council members are the experts and scholars in relative field; they represent the highest level of production, research and application in sdhesive field.

BAS organized by council and supervisor, council include science department, consultation department, external contact department, organize department, construction application department, routine work is mainly completed by the office of BAS.

Since the foundation, BAS have performed some activities followed:

1. Holding International Communication of Academia.

2. Holding technology communication activities at home.

3. Exhibition.

4. Special Lecture.

5. Undertaking research project. 

6. Proposing to the Government.

7. Technical Consultation, solving problems for enterprises.
